Discos will be held for students once a week throughout the course. The students will be taking part in different themed nights throughout the course. County Colours, Fancy Dress, etc.

Céilí dancing is a major part of the Irish Culture and all students will be taking part in dancing sessions and will be taught all the steps by their dancing teachers. Modern céilí dances will also be a part of the course.

  • Our courses are based on the Irish National Curriculum and will give each student the ability and confidence to use Irish with great ease and as fluently as possible.

The courses will integrate the Irish language with Core Curriculum subjects, giving each student a complete understanding of the subject. The student will develop their vocabulary and their oral language to a higher standard and will develop a complete understanding of the Irish grammar.

Caithfidh gach duine iarracht a dhéanamh an Ghaeilge atá acu a labhairt agus é a fheabhsú tríd an chúrsa.

We as educators are here to facilitate the student to use the Irish they have no matter what level they may have and to build from that level. The students will be immersed in the Gaeltacht life from living with fluent Irish speaking families, to being taught by fluent Irish speaking teachers and together as a group their Irish and love of the language will flourish.

The students will be accommodated with local families. The number of students per house varies according to the size of the house. The homes in which the students are accommodated have been inspected and approved by both An Roinn Gnóthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta [Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs] and by An Chéad Ghlúin Eile. Irish is the language spoken in all these homes.
