Students must speak Irish at all times.

Students must attend the course in its entirety; otherwise extra expenses may be incurred.

No student is permitted to leave the Bean an Tí’s house between supper time and breakfast time the following morning.

Students will normally travel in groups and should exercise the utmost caution on the roads.

Students must respect each other, each other’s property, the property of the Bean an Tí and the college.

No student may enter a licensed premises nor at any time may a student be in possession of, consume or show signs of having consumed alcohol. Failure to abide by this rule will mean immediate expulsion with no refund of fees.

Any student found in possession of illegal drugs, solvents or aerosols of any kind will be expelled immediately with no refund of fees.

Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Students are forbidden to wander off alone and may not go to the beach or go swimming except as part of a properly supervised group.

To avoid the misuse of mobile phones and to protect students, mobile phones must be handed into the Bean an Tí. They will be made available to students at various times of the day to allow them the opportunity to call home.

Portable and personal stereos, iPods or MP3 players are not permitted.

In the case of serious misconduct, we will consult parents/guardians and may dismiss the student. The decision of the college authorities is final.

We promote a card system when disciplining the students, yellow cards for minor incidents and red cards for major incidents. Parents will be informed if a student receives three yellow cards. Any student who receives a red card will be dismissed from the college.
